Celebrate World Whisky Day 2018 in Style

Thankfully Whisky Festivals and celebrations are becoming more common and they don’t get much bigger than World Whisky Day 2018 on May 19th.  The organisers refer to the festival as “a day of global whisky celebration” and the team at Cask 88, who are based all around the world, will be raising a dram and celebrating in our offices in Edinburgh, Shanghai, Singapore and Shenzen. No matter what corner of the world you live, you will find whisky enthusiasts and collectors celebrating this day with whisky from various countries, but we will be raising a glass of old and rare Scottish single malt.

Whisky Festivals 2018

New events and festivals are happening throughout the year. The bi-annual Spirit of Speyside Whisky festival took place between the 2nd and 6th May and will return later in the year with Spirit of Speyside Distilled between 31st August and the 1st September 2018. These events focus on the distilleries found in the Speyside region, but these include some of the most globally recognised brands including Aberlour, Benromach, Glenfiddich, The Glenlivet and not forgetting The Macallan. This particular festival is a celebration of everything that the Speyside has to offer and features regional food, art and culture alongside the whisky.

Celebrating with Whisky

Whisky and celebration go together perfectly and many of our customers are looking for the perfect bottle of whisky to celebrate a whole range of life events, from a significant birthday, a memorable anniversary, through to marking a birth or graduation. Whatever the event, a carefully selected old and rare Scottish single malt ensures it is celebrated in style.

Cask Ownership

For some, these events have been planned for many years in advance and are marked by something truly unique – their very own cask. We have helped our customers to purchase a particular cask, specifying vintage and distillery, with the specific purpose to be held and matured until it’s time to create their very own bottle of whisky or transfer ownership as the ultimate celebratory gift. If you are interested in knowing more about how simple and straightforward this process is, check out our page dedicated to purchasing a cask for celebration.
